Seven months old
Where did that last month go?
It seems like just yesterday I was writing about Miss Charlotte hitting the six month mark, and here she is ~ seven months old! Time is just passing far too quickly. Slow down, please!
Movement
For the past month, Charlotte has been desperately trying to crawl. She does push-ups, the downward dog, brings her legs up and rocks on her hands & knees ... but forward movement? Not a chance. She's very adept at swivelling herself around on her belly like a little break-dancer, but can't seem to move that little body forward just yet. She's a champion at moving backwards though ~ push-up, sliiide, push-up, sliiide, push-up, sliiide ... it's very cute.
In the past couple of days, she has learned to cuddle. As in, pulling me in to her for a cuddle. I have to say, it's just about my Favourite. Thing. Ever.
Sleep
... Bah ...
Travels
We two girly Bells did our very first solo plane trips this month! I'll admit, even though we had done six flights before, I was nervous about these! Luckily it was just Melbourne to Adelaide & back again, so super quick. Turns out, I had nothing at all to worry about. She was a dream, as always! Such a happy little traveller. We sat in our seat & she just oohed & aahed at everyone that walked past. If anyone looked at her, she was thrilled!
As always, our time in Adelaide with the Pfeiffers was fantastic. It's just always so easy to be with Karen & the boys. Harry & Charlotte (AKA "That pink baby"), well, they are in love. It is so sweet to watch them together. If Charlotte can see him, she just doesn't take her eyes off him ~ her eyes follow him around the room wherever he goes. He holds her hand. He brings her pillows & blankets. It's just beautiful. As well as being some of Matthew's & my most favourite people on the planet, it's very clear to see that the Pfeiffers are some of Charlotte's most favourite people on the planet as well. <3
And here's our little Parisian cutie with her Daddy outside our hotel.
Solids
At six months & one day, Charlotte took to solids. We'd had a few attempts in the couple of weeks prior (as she'd shown some signs of being ready) but she wasn't particularly interested. Now, she loves them! Apples, bananas, watermelon, pumpkin, yoghurt ~ everything she's eaten, she's loved.
Give me more yoghurt ... NOW!
