Six months old
Charlotte is six months old!
Six. Months. Old.
Whoa ...
The joy & happiness she brings to us on a daily basis is simply indescribable.
She is such a joyous, delightful little baby. So very smiley & happy. I've lost count of the number of comments we've received on her smile, and how happy she is. She will hand out one of her gorgeous smiles to almost anyone that looks at her. She is very charming, and I have no doubt that soon enough she will know exactly how to work her charm to its full advantage!
Charlotte is still very alert, and has been since Day One. She is constantly absorbing her surroundings, and delights in working out how things, well, work. Her alertness is, unfortunately, incompatible with sleeping. There is just far too much going on during the day for her to go to sleep. Sleep is a daily battle, which, more often than not, I lose in a spectacular fashion. Catnaps all the way for our girl!
She is now on the move! Never in the same spot we leave her. Mostly backwards or sideways, only a few shuffles forwards so far. But I suspect it won't be long until she works out how to move forwards. And then, watch out Dibley! She absolutely adores Dibley, and I'm certain he will be her motivation to crawl. As soon as she hears his jingling collar, she looks for him, and won't take her eyes off him once she spies him. The arms go out, and she gets the most fixated expression on her face. It's adorable.
She is also beautifully tactile, particularly when she's feeding. She loves to stroke my chest, and hold my hand with both of hers. And then, she'll inevitably fall asleep holding my hand, it's simply divine.
We have our next appointment with the MCHN this week, so I'm not sure on her stats at the moment. She still seems to be tall & slim.
Swimming is definitely one of her favourite things ~ we go each Saturday morning. Charlotte is a real water baby. She kicks, treads water, dog paddles (naturally not intentionally, but it's very cute!) and floats happily in the water. We do submersions, and she loves it! She's very happy & at home in the water ~ she took to it from the very first lesson.
To finish off, a recent picture of our little ray of sunshine!
