Three Bells - Week 8
8 weeks ... and time to start random updates rather than weekly ones, I think!
This week has been a funny one with sleeping. Sunday night, we decided to try Charlotte in her cot for a night sleep for the first time (we suspected she was waking up in her bassinette as her arms knocked on the side). We didn't really expect much, but she slept for 10 hours! Yes, that's right, TEN HOURS! And the five nights after that, she's slept from about 8pm till 2 or 3am, and then again till around 6am after a quick feed. We can't believe it! Looks like she loves her cot. *Happy dance*!
Day time sleeps ... well that is a completely different story. She has been quite unsettled during the day, and we've really struggled to get her to sleep during the day for any length of time, and for her to sleep in her cot or bassinette is almost impossible. She seems to be coming out of it now, thankfully, and will catnap in her cot, but hopefully her day sleeps will be as good as her night sleeps soon. Trying to get anything done during the day is nearly impossible!
She is so unbelievably happy in the mornings, it is just an absolute delight. Still loving her baths, and loving being on the change table. She's had a few baths with me now, which is lots of fun. I have her resting on my stomach, and she happily kicks her legs around. It always makes me think of when she was in my belly, and how she used to kick around while we were in the bath.
We had more visitors this week, Nichole, Jeremy & Jessica. It was fantastic to see them, and they all adored Charlotte, especially Jeremy ~ he was so sweet carrying her through the shopping centre, he looked very proud!
We had Mona's 30th birthday party on Saturday night, and Miss Charlotte got to wear her party tutu! She looked tutu cute (ok, forgive me, I had to make that bad joke LOL).
