8 week check-up

Charlotte had her 8 week check up with the MCHN nurse today.

Our clever little girl is now 59cm long, weighs 4870g (10lb 11oz) and has a head circumference of 38.5cm. She has filled out nicely everywhere, and according to the MCHN she is "perfect". She kept commenting on how well she looks, and how well we are both doing ~ and also on how strong Charlotte is.

She also said that the cat-napping during the day is a bit of a trade off as her night sleeps are so good. She needs to catch up on feeds/playtime a little during the day to make up for all the sleep she's getting at night. I'll take the awesome night sleeps any day (or night), thanks! Although that said, she's having her second long sleep in her cot today, first was 1.5 hours, and this one has been 1 hour & counting!

I mentioned that I still hadn't heard about a Mother's Group, so she sent an email off, and I got a call this afternoon ~ our first meeting is next Wednesday, hooray!

Tomorrow is the dreaded 2-month injections. =( I am not looking forward to them. The MCHN said Charlotte will be fine, but I probably won't be LOL. She's right! Matthew is coming with us though, because I know I won't be able to do it!
