Episode II: Mini Golf, The Shark & The Novotel

Our first night was an awesome night of gourmet pizza, Buzz & Uno Attack with the beautiful Nessie & Mr Nessie [not their real names ... gee this is like one of "those" stories LOL]. I also got LOTS of cuddles from their gorgeous furbabies ~ just too adorable for words!

The next day we headed off for a day trip to beautiful Victor Harbour. The weather was perfect, the ca
r was overheating [of course ... but it just meant no air-con, we didn't have to put them through our pain!], and we decided to play a round of mini-golf.

What an awesome time! Mr Nessie & I had great scores [he pipped me by one point - ne
xt time, I'll get him!], Nessie had not such a great score, and Matthew. Well, his score was positively woeful. I think I spent the entire 18 holes with my hand stuck to my forehead in an "L". Poor Matthew.

I managed to get a hole in one [Yeah!] on the shark hole, which of course was cause for celebration & a photo riding the shark. And ~ I got the week's course record for adult female! Go me!

The Bell food curse struck Matthew as usual, with his "fresh" oysters being frozen ~ and his replacement taking about 15 minutes to cook, resulting, of course, in the rest of his lunch going cold. Poor Matthew.

We stopped off at a lolly shop in McLaren Vale, that will cover *anything* from their shop in chocolate ... I saw chocolate-covered snakes, which just looked wrong! After that, we waved goodbye to our wonderful & gracious hosts and drove up to the Barossa Valley. We checked into the Novotel [we'd redeemed our Fly Buys points for a couple of nights there] and then went to our room. Gorgeous, and a beautiful view over some vineyards.
