Halfway there!

Through August, that is. Horrible month. Still hate it! We had our annual furniture buying spree, so our first lot was delivered last Friday, the buffet/hutch & TV unit for the family room. As usual, I'm waiting on Matthew to do something before the TV unit can be set up - so it will probably be September before I can share any photos! I'm already in love with the buffet/hutch, and it's just SO nice not to have that huge blank wall staring at me any more. The next lot of furniture is a custom-made book case & also a tall drawer unit for me scrapping room - yay! Hopefully that will arrive this week - fingers crossed! Matthew will be away quite a bit in the second half of this month, which is sad. :( Two days this week, another 4 days at the end of the month, and possibly another trip in between. I have to get used to it though, because it will become reality if he ever gets the written offer for his "new" job.

Oh sweetie so sad about your boy being away, I'm always here with the other work widows if you need to chatter or scrap! :)

On the happy side of things, new furniture is ALWAYS a good thing!! Yipee, I'm so glad it's started to arrive. Tell Matthew to get a move on 'cause Chrissy MUST see piccies!! *giggle*

Hugs babe!

New furniture - that is such fun. Can't wait to see pics.

And as Chrissy said, you can always join the rest of us work widows on line - my boy was away for a week, back for the w/e, away for 2 days back for 2 days, away for the day, back for the w/e and then away for another 2 days. It's pretty lousy, but you do get used to it. What is his new job if you don't mind me asking?
