Hello August!

Scrapping - hmm, well, I haven't done a lot in the past week or so, but I've included my favourite recent LO, done for the "Freestyle" them in the latest Newsletter for The Scrap Heap! It's been 8 months since I joined the Inspiration Team, and I am still pinching myself - I can't believe I get to be part of that amazing newsletter every month! I finally bought a sewing machine on Thursday night, so I can be just like Belinda! :D I haven't had time to use it yet (I'm always a slow starter LOL) but I think I'll give it a crack this afternoon. I always love seeing stitching on LOs, it just adds so much gorgeous texture - and now I can do it too. Yay!! I'm hoping to get all of the Daily Challenges done this month too - as I have failed quite miserably in both June & July!

Have I mentioned that
I hate August! I don't know why, I can't explain it. I hate the month, I hate the way it sounds, I hate that it's the 8th month (now I know that is completely irrational LOL) ... so I am counting down the days till September arrives.

I'm finally getting a few hours to relax & recover from Shopping Spree 2006 ... the annual "let's buy furniture with Matthew's tax return" expedition. I had forgotten how exhausting it can be LOL ... two days of non-stop shopping, two hot baths later, and I'm feeling vaguely human. Now I just have to twiddle my thumbs and wait for it to arrive!

We had one of those really lucky shopping days, you know the ones - where you find everything you want, and get a lot of bargains. We even got undercharged for brekky on Friday - woohoo! I can't wait till everything arrives, and our family room will finally be complete. It's going to be a strange feeling!

On a sad note - my cacti are all dying!! I need Mum to come and visit again to see what's wrong with them. :( I thought cacti were unkillable - apparently not. I definiely cannot be trusted with plants, although my other plants SEEM to be alive thus far.

Well, the housework is calling me *sigh* ... but someone's gotta do it!

Oh yeah, and I just wanted to say a big THANKS to everyone who visits me & leaves a comment on my blog - it makes my day! :)

I thought you couldn't kill cactus either but my "kitchen" sink cactus is looking pretty sick. Fingers cross that they recover.

Love that LO by the way.
