2006 in review
Thanks to Parky for posting this ~ it was fun!
1. What did you do in 2006 that you have never done before?
Went skiing!
2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for this year?
Most of them ~ about 75%. I've set a few achievable goals again this year which I plan on achieving!
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes, a few.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, thankfully.
5. What countries did you visit?
Australia.
6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
A baby.
7. What dates from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
None really, although I suppose turning 30 is permanently burned into my brain LOL.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I didn't really have one.
9. What was your biggest failure?
See Q6.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No, thank God, after being on crutches & chopping part of my finger off in 2005, I remained unscathed in 2006.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Guitar lessons for Matthew ~ his smile was priceless.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Matthew's, because he never stops believing good things will happen.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
The fertility gods ~ for forgetting where we live.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Mortgage and bills ~ I second that Parky!
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
My digital SLR & the title of the 7th Harry Potter book.
16. What song will always remind you of 2006?
Nothing springs to mind.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you: a) happier or sadder? b) thinner or fatter? c) richer or poorer?
A little sadder, probably a little fatter & a little richer.
18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Gone to the movies ~ I forgot how much I enjoyed it until yesterday.
19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Housework.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
With our Melbourne families.
21. What was your favorite TV program?
I didn't really have one ~ I don't watch much TV.
22. What was the best book you read?
Harry Potter books ~ over & over again.
23. What was your greatest musical discovery?
My iPod. How did I ever live without it?
24. What did you want and get?
My Canon 350D camera.
25. What did you want and not get?
A baby.
26. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Ewww ... I was 30. Took the dogs to the park, flew to Brisbane & had dinner with my parents at Brett's Wharf ~ complete with a special bottle of wine we'd been saving.
27. What kept you sane?
Matthew & a special bunch of girls from EB.
28. What political issue stirred you the most?
None really. I've had my head in the sand for most of the year.
29. Who was the best new person you met?
The special bunch of girls from Q27.

oh jody...i wish for you that baby in 2007 this journey is heartbreaking to travel and it changes who you are and what you want but when u get that precious bundle believe me you will love it just a little bit more than u ever thought that you could...it makes you parent just a little differently and not take it for granted...(not that i think many parents take their children for granted its just different when u suffer this path)i have belief that it will happen when the time is perfect and you least expect it have faith
