Three Bells - Week 2
I can't believe Miss Charlotte is two weeks old already! Although it now seems like an eternity ago that I was pregnant.
Our little sweetpea is changing already ~ she's such a great feeder, and is starting to get a little bit of chub on her skinny little spaghetti arms & legs. She's still a little unsettled from time to time, but is getting much more secure & at home in her new surroundings. She's still a total snugglebug, and just adores being in our arms (or anyone's, really) ~ and I still spend hours just gazing down at her perfect little face. I still can't believe she's finally here, and ours. I wonder if that will ever change.
She has now met her both of her Nannas & Pop Bell ~ and all three were completely enamoured with her! Well, who wouldn't be? =)
Charlotte is getting even more alert, and has been hanging out on her playmat a little this week. She quite intently stares at the hanging toys with a very serious little expression on her face. Our little windbag gives me so many gorgeous little windy smiles ~ she is going to have such an adorable smile when she starts to smile at us for real.
We had our first Daddy free day on Thursday! I hadn't been looking forward to it, not nervous as such, but just apprehensive I suppose. I think Charlotte must have picked up on it a little, as she was super clingy ~ I think I got her down on her own for a grand total of about 30 minutes the entire day. In the end, I gave up trying to settle her in her cot, and we had a nice 3 hour sleep together in our bed ~ something I swore I'd never do, but hey, we're learning pretty quickly that we'll do whatever it takes to make our girl happy!
Showing off her skinny little legs!
All dressed up for her first party

And yep, even after 16 years (as of yesterday!! *grin*) that feeling of intense love an amazement with our much awaited first born hasn't faded one bit! :)
